The Hawkesmill Nurseries team, who produce over 3.5 million plants throughout the year, know just how important it is to make a firm commitment to their customers of offering eco-friendly trays and pots for their plants
Having grown perennials, wildflowers, grasses, ferns, herbs and more for over 43 years, the family-run business combines this traditional heritage with the modern needs of today when it comes to 'green' vessels for their plants.
In addition to their returnable and reusable 9 cm trays, Hawkesmill has introduced new carbon-free 'Green' pots, which are detectable for recycling and are also manufactured using 97% Post-Consumer Waste. Post-Consumer Waste is carbon pigment-free and can be detected on NIR sorting lines, confirmed through independent testing by RECOUP across the UK
Visitors to the South West Growers Show on October 2nd will be able to see these pots for themselves as well as a whole host of collections and beautiful plant varieties, the new 2020 catalogue will also be available to view.
Richard Evans, Sales Director, states “The South West Growers Show is one of the most important shows that we go to. This year we are not only excited to be displaying all our new plants for the coming season but also to share our news regarding our eco-friendly innovations. We look forward to sharing everything that is new from Hawkesmill, with customers old and new at the show next month"
All plants will be available to order from the Hawkesmill team at the event, for immediate delivery or as advance orders, enabling the reserving of stock for the weeks ahead or for spring of 2020.
