Bord na Móna has revealed it will be launching a new brand of peat-free, high quality and responsibly sourced compost at this year’s Glee event. The announcement follows Bord na Móna’s plans to decarbonise and move away from peat harvesting and towards ‘greener’, more environmentally friendly alternatives.
The upcoming Glee event, taking place from 10-12 September at the NEC Birmingham, will provide a valuable launch pad for the new compost brand to garden industry experts, buyers, retailers and media. Visitors to the Bord na Móna stand at Glee will receive a first look and introduction to the new products, each of which has a unique formula for a variety of uses, with more detail to be revealed soon.
Steve Harper, Head of Commercial & Marketing for Bord na Móna UK, says: “We are excited to be launching a series of new products at Glee, and to launch a new and improved range to replace our current peat-free offer with a full range tailored to gardeners’ different needs. From the quality of the product to the sustainability of the packaging, this is our most eco-friendly range yet. With the peat-free agenda at the forefront of conversations in horticulture, we are committed to ensuring Bord na Móna stays true to its environmental responsibilities.”
