Gardenex and PetQuip deliver buyer success
Gardenex and PetQuip ended 2025 on a high, delivering a series of successful Meet the Buyer events that once again demonstrated their value to member companies across the garden and pet sectors.
A well-established fixture in the trade calendar, the programme concluded the year with two carefully curated events that generated tangible commercial outcomes. These sessions connected UK suppliers directly with major international retail buyers, creating opportunities for new listings and market expansion.
One event focused on Footprint Products, a Canadian importer and distributor serving leading DIY, home improvement and garden retail chains. Over two days of online meetings, UK suppliers held productive discussions with Footprint’s senior leadership, paving the way for new products to enter the Canadian market.
Richard Goba, CEO of Footprint Products, praised the federation’s role in matching supplier capabilities with buyer requirements, noting that several UK products will be introduced in Canada as a direct result of the meetings.
Gardenex and PetQuip also hosted an in-person Meet the Buyer event with Joybuy, the new European retail platform from JD.com. Held at Joybuy’s London offices, the session brought together garden and pet brands with buyers ahead of Joybuy’s formal UK launch in early 2026.
Looking ahead, planning is already underway for a full programme of Meet the Buyer events in 2026, combining online and face-to-face meetings, as well as hosted opportunities at key UK trade shows.
Online meetings are currently being arranged with leading Dutch/Belgian marketplace Bol on 4 February (pet) and 5 February (garden) and with US importer/distributor Arett (garden) on 11 February. Please contact eleanor@gardenex.com for more information and to apply for a place.
