Euphorbia x martini Walberton’s® Little Treasure® has secured a place on the RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2026 shortlist following a successful launch in 2025.

Developed in the UK by Walberton Plants, the compact Euphorbia quickly gained popularity with both retailers and gardeners thanks to its year-round ornamental appeal and easy-going nature.

The variety is noted for its striking bright yellow foliage, which delivers vivid colour from spring into early summer before developing warm copper tones as temperatures cool later in the year.

Its compact habit and adaptability make it suitable for borders, containers and mixed planting schemes, while its hardy nature offers reliable performance across a range of garden settings.

The plant will also feature in The Classroom Garden by designers Lee Connelly and Leigh Johnstone.

Connelly described the plant as ideal for children’s gardening projects, highlighting its resilience, low-maintenance qualities and strong visual appeal. He said the variety demonstrates that gardening can be both simple and inspiring for schools and young growers.

With colour-changing foliage and unusual flowers, Walberton’s® Little Treasure® is expected to attract attention from younger visitors at the show while showcasing the value of reliable, easy-care planting.
