Ladybird Plantcare sponsors Chelsea Houseplant Carousel

Company: Ladybird Plantcare

Ladybird Plantcare will sponsor the Heliotropic Carousel at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026, designed by Hugo & Green as part of the popular Houseplant Studios.

Now in its sixth year, the Houseplant Studios—sponsored by Malvern Garden Buildings—feature immersive indoor garden rooms created by leading plant stylists and judged by the RHS.

The Heliotropic Carousel is inspired by heliotropism, where plants naturally turn towards light. The design features a rotating structure that allows plants to move in response to sunlight throughout the day.

Encased in glass, the space shifts from morning light to evening atmosphere, functioning as a coffee spot, workspace, reading retreat and social setting.

Planting includes tropical and adaptive species that respond visibly to changing light conditions, creating a dynamic, evolving indoor ecosystem.

At the centre of the installation is plant care expert Tessa Cobley, who promotes biological control methods as a natural alternative to chemical treatments.

Her approach uses beneficial insects such as ladybirds, predatory mites and nematodes to manage pests and support plant health in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Throughout the installation, thousands of beneficial insects will demonstrate how natural pest control can operate within a design-led indoor garden environment.

Visitors will be able to meet Tessa during selected show days to learn about pest identification, biological control methods and natural plant care techniques.

The display highlights how plant health is closely linked to environmental conditions such as light, positioning and airflow, rather than chemical intervention alone.

Ladybird Plantcare’s presence at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 reframes plant care as a natural, accessible and science-led practice rooted in ecological balance.
