Wyevale quartet celebrates 130 years’ service

Four employees at Wyevale Nurseries have been recognised for their long service after collectively achieving 130 years with the Hereford-based commercial grower.
James Mattock celebrated 40 years with the business, while Mark Williams, Karen Edwards and Imme Davies each marked 30 years of service.
The awards were presented at the Royal Three Counties Show by the Three Counties Agricultural Society.
Wyevale Nurseries Chairman Heather Williamson praised the quartet’s loyalty, dedication and contribution to both the company and the wider horticultural industry.
James Mattock, IT Manager, received a Silver Medal for 40 years’ service, having joined the company in 1985 and played a key role in developing its IT systems and infrastructure.
Mark Williams, Irrigation Supervisor, received a Bronze Medal after 30 years with the business, where he has spent much of his career managing irrigation operations.
Karen Edwards, a Despatch Tractor Driver, was also awarded a Bronze Medal, recognising three decades spent working across multiple departments within the nursery.
Assistant Manager Imme Davies marked 30 years of service, with her expertise helping drive the success and development of the company’s Tree Division.
The Society awards Bronze Medals for 30 years’ service and Silver Medals for 40 years of continuous employment in agriculture and horticulture.
