Wyevale Nurseries appoints Lisa Edwards finance director
Wyevale Nurseries has appointed Lisa Edwards as its new Finance Director as the company strengthens its leadership team to support long-term growth plans.
Edwards succeeds Tim Fawbert, who is leaving the business after three years to pursue a new opportunity outside the horticulture sector.
An Associate Chartered Management Accountant, Edwards first joined Wyevale Nurseries as a consultant in 2021 and has since played a key role within the finance department and the company’s ERP system upgrade preparations.
Managing Director Andy Johnson said the business already knew the value Edwards brought to the organisation through her consultancy work, finance team restructuring and IT development support.
Edwards said she was delighted to take on the role and looked forward to contributing at board level as the company progresses with several major projects and wider business development plans.
Before joining Wyevale Nurseries, Edwards built a 35-year career in finance, including senior finance leadership roles across the automotive leasing and asset finance sectors in the UK and Europe.
In her new role, she will oversee financial strategy, governance, forecasting, reporting and performance improvement while also supporting IT and HR functions across the business.
Founded in 1930, Wyevale Nurseries remains family-owned and operates more than 800 acres of production, supplying UK-grown trees, shrubs, hedging and herbaceous plants to professional horticultural customers nationwide.
