RHS announces new appointments at RHS Gardens

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has announced several senior appointments at two of its flagship gardens.

At RHS Garden Harlow Carr, Fiona Slight has been named Curator, succeeding Paul Cook, who is stepping down after 12 years. Head of Harlow Carr, Liz Thwaite, praised Fiona’s horticultural vision and expressed gratitude for Paul’s lasting contributions.

At RHS Garden Wisley, Elwyn Owen has been appointed Head of Site following a successful secondment, overseeing estate management and visitor experience. Additionally, three internal promotions see Alex Hankey, Paul Kettell, and Mark Tuson take on new responsibilities as Garden Managers.

RHS leaders highlighted the value of nurturing internal talent, with Robert Brett and Richard Green commending the team’s dedication, leadership, and continued commitment to excellence.
