Pravin Patel retires after nearly four decades at Premier Decorations
Pravin Patel has retired from his role at Premier Decorations Limited after 37 years with the company. Patel served as Director since January 1995, overseeing the company’s growth and operations for almost three decades.
During his tenure, Premier Decorations Limited expanded its operations from Ruislip, Greater London, becoming one of the UK’s leading suppliers of seasonal and garden products. The company currently employs over 70 staff and reports an annual turnover below £54 million.
Premier commented, “From just 2 people to nearly 100, Pravin has been there every step of the way, helping build Premier into what it is today. His unwavering loyalty, genuine care, and tireless effort have left a lasting mark not just on the business, but on everyone lucky enough to work with him.”
Patel also contributed to the industry through his involvement with the Leisure & Outdoor Furniture Association (LOFA). He joined the LOFA Council in 2014, later becoming Vice-Chairman and Chairman. In these roles, he oversaw financial and legal affairs, as well as supporting trade show initiatives including SOLEX. Patel resigned his LOFA directorship in January 2024.
Gina Hinde, General Manager of LOFA, said,“Pravin is one of the nicest guys in the industry, always has a smile on his face and always looks on the positive side of life. I had the pleasure of working with him for 4 years as Vice and then Chair of LOFA”
In addition to his business career, Patel has announced plans to participate in charitable initiatives following his retirement. His first project is supporting Dementia UK by participating in their October challenge, which involves walking 62 miles to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
