Notcutts’ new chairman becomes High Sheriff of Suffolk

Bridget McIntyre, who became chairman of Notcutts last month, has become High Sheriff of Suffolk for the year from April.

Her role, largely ceremonial is to represent the Queen in matters of law and order.  Due to Coronavirus restrictions, she was handed her chains of office in a video call with the leading legal figures of the county.

She was awarded the MBE in the 2020 New Year’s Honours List for services to women.

She was named chairman of Notcutts last December to replace outgoing Chairman, Nicky Dulieu, with effect from 1st March 2020.  She is also a non-exec director of a number of other family businesses having made her name as finance director then sales and marketing director of Aviva.
