New apprentices at Bransford Webbs

Company: The Bransford Webbs Plant Company

The Bransford Webbs Plant Company are proud to announce three new apprentices have recently started their placements with the nursery, on a two-year scheme in conjunction with Pershore College, leading to a Level 3 Crop Technician Qualification.

Over the next two years Lola Dolphin, Danny Holloway and Esme Goldenberg will work in all departments on the nursery and also spend five weeks each year at Pershore College studying a wide range of horticultural modules. Our apprenticeship scheme attracts a wide range of applicants; with Lola and Danny having completed their GCSEs and A-levels respectively earlier this year, whilst Esme is embarking on a career change.

“It’s great to have these three excellent apprentices join the team”, commented Karl O’Neill, Technical Production Director. “We see apprentices as the life blood of the business and are excited for what the future holds for them”.

The Bransford Webbs Plant Company has a proud history of apprenticeships dating back to the 1980s with several of the current management and supervisory roles on the nursery held by former apprentices. Most recently, our two apprentices Sam Oleksy and Emmeline Yourston completed their Level 3 Crop Technician Qualification, both passing with Distinction. Sam is currently one of our glasshouse growers and Emmeline over sees an area of the young plant unit.
