Neil Gow to Step Down as GIMA Director

Company: GIMA

Neil Gow has today announced that he will be stepping down as Director of GIMA, the Garden Industry Manufacturers’ Association, in the New Year. After 7 years in the role Neil has taken the decision to resign from his position and explore other opportunities within the industry. He will continue to run the association until February 2014 when a successor will be appointed.

Vicky Nuttall, current GIMA President and Head of Marketing at Forest Garden said “On behalf of the GIMA council and membership I would like to take this opportunity to thank Neil for all the hard work and dedication he has shown over the years. He leaves the association in a strong financial position with a healthy membership and portfolio of events.”

Neil Gow said “It’s business as usual for GIMA until I hand over to my successor at the end of February next year. I’ve still got plenty of events that I want to deliver such as the Glee Buyer Connect event and the Day Conference in November.”

GIMA will be taking the opportunity to review the role and the Association’s requirements and an announcement will be made later in the month regarding their plans for recruiting Neil’s replacement.
