Mr Plant Geek joins HTA as Ambassador

Company: HTA

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) has announced Michael Perry, widely known as Mr Plant Geek, as its new ambassador. The collaboration sees Perry embark on a “journey of discovery” to spotlight the HTA’s work through a dedicated video series.

Representing more than 1,300 garden retailers, growers, landscapers, and suppliers, the HTA plays a vital role in promoting and supporting the horticulture sector to ensure its long-term sustainability and growth.

Perry’s first episode features a discussion with HTA Horticulture Manager Pippa Greenwood on the Grower of the Year awards. The awards include categories such as Plant Producer, Life Beyond Peat, Inspirational Business, and Young Grower, highlighting excellence across the supply chain.

In other episodes, Perry speaks with Jennifer Pheasey, HTA Director of Public Affairs, on how policy impacts horticulture, and with David Denny, HTA Director of Research and Insights, on evolving consumer behaviour in garden retail.

HTA Chief Executive Fran Barnes said: “Mr Plant Geek is a well-known and respected voice in the gardening world, and we’re delighted to have him help showcase the depth and breadth of our work on behalf of members.”

Perry added: “I’m excited to help bring the HTA’s work to life for a wider audience and celebrate the passion and innovation within this incredible industry.”
