Company: Pots of Distinction
  • Jason Hardwick

The Glee trade fair at the NEC in Birmingham is the only national trade fair for the gardening industry in the UK, so it was an easy decision to make when they were offered a stand at short notice. It was the first time that Pots of Distinction exhibited at this type of fair and the stand was busy throughout the three days with new customers. It’s fair to say that the event was hugely successful and very worthwhile.

Pots of Distinction is a company that has grown impressively over the past few years. Located in Louth, Lincolnshire, you can find their large and elegant pots stocked in many garden centres and water gardens throughout the country. The trade fair, which ran from the 11th to the 13th of September, helped the company to showcase their impressive stock to new areas of the UK, and saw the company make quite an impact.

As well as many new sales, Pots of Distinction also secured two new prestigious selling agent teams at the Glee fair, agents that will act on behalf of the company across both the south east area and East Anglia.

Hardwick Agencies has been in the gardening industry for over 20 years and has a background that includes the pot market. He is well known and respected in the industry. The company has a team of six specialists who cover south London, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset. The owner, Jason Hardwick, has a wealth of experience that he has gained during the 24 years he has been in business, which will prove invaluable in developing Pots of Distinction in the future. This will be the first time that Pots of Distinction will have full sales coverage in this area, so both parties are looking forward to working together in the near future.

East Anglia is the second area to have agents appointed. John Ducker and his father, Mervyn, will cover Cambs, Norfolk, Suffolk Essex and north London. The Duckers have also worked the gardening industry for many years, and have a long experience acting for large and prestigious pot companies in the past. They are ready to hit the ground running to help grow Pots of Distinction on their territory.

Matt Frith, Owner of Pots of Distinction had this to say about his experience at the fair: “It was the first time we had exhibited and we were delighted with the success we saw. We are also very excited to see what the future brings now that we have managed to secure two new selling teams which will plug the last remaining gap in our national sales coverage. Watch this space.”

We expect to see the Pots of Distinction collections appearing in garden centres and stockists throughout the UK very soon. For more information about Pots of Distinction and their range of stock, please contact Matt Frith on 07771 968771 or email him at matt@potsofdistinction.co.uk.
