HTA seeks applicants for Non-Executive Board roles

Company: HTA

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is seeking Non-Executive Directors to join its Board and help guide the future of the UK’s £38 billion environmental horticulture sector. Representing over 1,350 businesses, the HTA provides leadership, political advocacy, and commercial support across garden retail, growing, landscaping, and supply.

HTA President Will Armitage says they seek individuals with strategic skills, sector insight, or governance experience who are passionate about UK horticulture. The Board is committed to building a diverse and inclusive Board that reflects the full breadth of the membership.

The voluntary NED roles are open to individuals from a range of backgrounds, with particular interest in those bringing expertise in:

  • Commercial horticulture, garden retail, or landscape services
  • Finance, audit, or investment
  • IT systems and emerging technologies
  • Membership organisations or trade associations
  • Governance and legal compliance

Non-Executive Directors will serve three-year voluntary terms, attending quarterly Board meetings and the AGM, with expenses reimbursed.

Applicants should submit a CV and cover letter to recruitment@hta.org.uk by July. Informal discussions are encouraged. Details: hta.org.uk/careers/non-executive-director.
