Deco-Pak appoints Dan Charles to senior commercial role
Deco-Pak has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Dan Charles as Head of Commercial & Merchandising.
Dan joins following a decade in the garden centre industry, most recently with AMES, having originally joined Kelkay in 2016. His experience spans merchandising, team leadership and commercial strategy.
In his new role, Dan will strengthen customer relationships across major garden centre groups, buying groups and independent retailers, while leading Deco-Pak’s merchandising function.
He will establish merchandising standards and strategies, using commercial insight and performance data to support future product, range and customer proposition development.
The appointment forms part of Deco-Pak’s continued investment in its people and capabilities as it prepares for the 2027 season and beyond.
Deco-Pak Managing Director Craig Hall said Dan’s experience in merchandising, category development and understanding garden centre retail would help strengthen customer relationships and improve in-store execution.
Dan said he was attracted by Deco-Pak’s strong values, growth potential and entrepreneurial spirit, adding that he sees opportunities to further develop the company’s category offer.
His appointment comes as Deco-Pak continues to develop its landscaping and decorative aggregate proposition, with a greater focus on product innovation, retail execution and retailer support.
