2026 BOA / Peter Seabrook Scholar

The British Ornamentals Association (BOA), in partnership with the family of Peter Seabrook and the Colegrave Seabrook Foundation, has announced that Manfred Roscher has been awarded the 2026 BOA / Peter Seabrook Scholarship.

Manfred, originally from South Africa, is currently completing a Crop Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship at Pershore College, alongside gaining practical experience at Hillier Nurseries. His passion for plants and horticulture, coupled with his commitment to advancing his career in the ornamental horticulture sector, impressed the scholarship trustees, who unanimously selected him as this year’s recipient.

The scholarship will enable Manfred to further develop his industry knowledge and build professional connections through BOA activities, technical groups, and industry events. He will also receive a complimentary one-year student membership to the Association.

The award honours the legacy of Peter Seabrook, a founding Trustee of the Colegrave Seabrook Foundation and a prominent figure in the horticultural industry, by supporting the next generation of horticultural talent.
