The HTA sends vital survey to all UK growers

With no date set for the reopening of garden centres the best hope for the survival of growers’ businesses rests with the Government providing a compensation scheme. But it is asking for more data.

The HTA has written this morning to all UK growers with a survey. This will provide important information on the value of stock and trade losses by British growers, giving an indication of how long companies can survive without assistance. It will also show whether current government schemes are benefitting the sector.

All growers are being urged to complete the survey which will strengthen the hand of the HTA when pressing the government for a compensation scheme. The data supplied by individual companies will be kept confidential and presented to government in an aggregated form.

Any grower who is yet to receive the survey should email david.denny@hta.org.uk
