The five gardens built on APL Avenue at BBC Gardeners’ World Live have once again impressed our judges and the public, with comments already flying on how it is the highlight of the show. With the introduction of the BBC Gardeners’ World Live Young Landscapers Award this year, it is a great way to showcase young talent, and give them the chance to build some of their first solo show gardens.

Jacob and Laurence won the BBC Gardeners’ World Live Young Landscapers Award this year, with both teams putting in a huge amount of effort and pride into the gardens they built from concept drawings supplied Diarmuid Gavin.

The gardens received:

Silver Merit - Jacob Botting and Laurence Senior (Company: Bespoke Outdoor Spaces)
Silver - Dan McGeoghegan and Ryan Bell (Company: The Plants & Paving Company)

The five gardens at the competition received:

Gold Award - KeyScape Gardens, designed by Wilson Associates Garden Design
Gold Award - Living Gardens, designed by Peter Cowell
Silver Merit - A to Z Gardening Landscaping Services Ltd, designed by Levente Papp and Alina Ciobotaru
Silver Merit - Conquest Creative Spaces, designed by Ross Conquest
Silver Merit - Timotay Landscapes, designed by Timotay Landscapes

The five front or back gardens that feature on the APL Avenue, give the public the opportunity to witness first-hand what can be achieved in a small space. Landscapers and members of the APL team there to support the public greater understanding of the costs of a garden build.

APL members, Big Fish Landscapes, also took home a plethora awards for their work on two gardens; the Tesco ‘Every Little Helps’ Garden that took home BEST CONSTRUCTION and Gold award, and the Wyevale Garden Centres Solutions Garden which took home a Platinum Award.

Visitors to the BBC Gardeners’ World Live at NEC Birmingham, 14-17 June, are also being asked to vote for their favourite garden on the APL Avenue. The Peoples’ Choice voting will take place during the show days with the award being presented at 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
