The 44th GIMA Awards brought together over 440 guests and 33 garden retailers for a night of celebration at Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, hosted by Patrick Kielty. The event honoured outstanding achievements across the garden industry, spotlighting innovation, sustainability, and service excellence.

The GIMA Sword of Excellence

Winner: GARDENA UK – AquaBloom L

The coveted GIMA Sword of Excellence was awarded to GARDENA UK for its AquaBloom L, which uses Micro-Drip technology to keep up to 30 plants thriving without the need for an outside tap or power supply. Judges praised its ease of use and water-efficient design, labelling it a “winner all round”.

The GCA Supplier of the Year Awards

  • Large Business Winner: Woodlodge Products – Celebrated for consistently excellent service over 20 years. Runners up: Smart Garden Products, Westland.
  • Small to Medium Business Winner: Meadow View Stone – Noted for outstanding teamwork, prompt delivery, and innovative displays.

Gardenex Export Achievement Award

Winner: Smart Garden Products

Recognised for exceptional export growth in Europe, particularly across France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Spain.

Sustainability Award

Winner: Elho

Elho’s Composter 200L, made from 100% recycled plastic, impressed judges with its design, affordability, and strong sustainability credentials, turning organic waste into valuable compost.

Associate of the Year

Winner: Hornby George PR

Celebrated for exceptional support and collaboration with GIMA and its members.

Elho’s Smart Pebble campaign impressed with its omni-channel strategy, combining data-driven insights, engaging visuals, and influencer content to simplify smart plant care and drive consumer engagement.
