Blue Diamond Extends Garden Re‑Leaf Fundraising to a Full Week

Blue Diamond Garden Centres are ramping up their support for Greenfingers Charity this year by extending Garden Re‑Leaf Day into a full week of fundraising activities.

Garden Re‑Leaf Day has become the horticultural industry’s celebration of gardening and charitable giving, timed as spring begins to bring people back into their gardens.

For 2026, Blue Diamond has chosen to go further, extending what is usually a single day event into a programme of week‑long activities designed to engage customers, inspire families, and boost donations for Greenfingers’ vital work creating therapeutic gardens in children’s hospices.

Events

From 16–21 March, centres across the group will host a series of events including Create a Mini Veggie Planter workshops for children, the sale of bespoke Garden Re‑Leaf cupcakes, and the Greenfingers ‘Friends’ charity rose.

Staff across the Group will also be taking part in their own fundraising challenges, while customers will be encouraged to donate at checkout via a dedicated JustGiving link.

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Greenfingers, said the charity was “absolutely delighted” with Blue Diamond’s expanded commitment. “Their enthusiasm and generosity will not only help kick‑start the gardening season for their customers and teams but will also play a vital role in supporting our work, helping more children and families experience the very best our gardens offer.”

Jill Kerr, Group Relationship Manager at Blue Diamond, added: “By hosting a week of activities, we hope to engage our customers and staff in a fun, hands‑on way while supporting a charity that makes a real difference to children and families in our communities.”

Greenfingers Charity

Greenfingers Charity has created more than 70 life‑enhancing hospice gardens across the UK, with a growing waiting list of hospices seeking support.
