Yorkshire Garden Centres has raised more than £106,000 for Martin House Children’s Hospice since the partnership began in April 2025.

Across its seven branches, colleagues and customers have supported the charity through fundraising events, personal challenges, donations and its Pennies initiative, which allows customers to add 25p to purchases at the checkout.

Fundraising activities have included bake sales, raffles, running and cycling challenges, a dragon boat race and an in-store spinathon. The company has also donated items and prizes, supported hospice events and welcomed children and families to its Christmas celebrations.

CEO Mark Farnsworth said: “Reaching more than £100,000 is a fantastic milestone and is down to the enthusiasm of our colleagues, customers and charity champions across all seven of our centres.”

Hannah Finan, Partnership Manager at Martin House, said the contribution would make a real difference to the children, young people and families relying on its care.

The partnership will continue until June 2027.

Martin House supports more than 550 children and young people with life-shortening conditions, and their families, across Yorkshire. Its specialist care is provided at its Boston Spa hospice, in hospitals and in family homes.

The charity costs around £13 million a year to run, with most funding coming from donations and fundraising.
