The Greenfingers Charity breaks ground at Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice
The Greenfingers Charity is delighted to announce that work has officially begun on the brand-new Kitchen Garden at Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice in Arundel, West Sussex.
This specially designed garden promises to be a truly transformative space. As well as providing fresh produce for the hospice kitchen, the garden will be a sensory-rich environment where children can explore the wonders of nature and learn about growing their own food. Crucially, it will also offer a peaceful, reflective space where families can spend valuable time together, talk, and connect in a calming outdoor setting.
Earlier this week, the team from Baylis Landscape Contractors Ltd – the landscaping firm tasked with bringing this project to life – visited the site to make final preparations. Their work will be guided by the inspiring vision developed by the award-winning garden designers at Fisher Tomlin & Bowyer. Joining the Baylis team were Greenfingers Charity’s Operations Director, Neil Sewell, and project funder Roger Head, who visited the site ahead of its transformation into what promises to be a lasting legacy for the hospice community.
