Spring Fair hosts a Halloween tea for Retail Trust residents

As part of its ongoing partnership with the Retail Trust, the Spring Fair team hosted a Halloween themed afternoon tea on Thursday 28th October for 60 residents at the Retail Trust’s supported living estate in North London.

The Spring Fair team, including Managing Director Julie Driscoll, volunteered to host the afternoon tea, bake cookies, and spend the day with residents reminiscing about their time spent in the retail industry, including former John Lewis sales assistants, House of Fraser buyers, hosiery sales agents and Tesco sales advisors.

Stuart Thomas, Head of Global Partnerships, Hyve Group plc, said “Myself and some of my colleagues hosted a wonderful Halloween tea for the retirement home residents at Marshall Estate and it was truly incredible to hear so many wonderful stories from the residents and their time working in retail. It was a fantastic way to cement the work we are doing with the Retail Trust and our commitment to supporting the industry. I feel very humbled and proud to be a part of it.”

Marshall Estate is one of five Retail Trust supported living estates in the UK. It is a hidden gem located in the leafy suburb of Mill Hill in North West London offering 72 properties and an on-site housing support team ensuring residents can relax and enjoy peace of mind in their retirement. Creating hope, health and happiness for everyone in retail, the Retail Trust has been caring for and protecting the lives of people working in retail since 1832. Spring Fair and the Retail Trust are working on a host of other projects like this, and to raise money for the charity, in the next few months.
