Notcutts unveils new-look restaurant at Victoria

Notcutts has unveiled its newly refurbished 150-seat restaurant at Victoria Garden Centre, near Pontefract in Yorkshire, combining a contemporary new look with features celebrating the centre’s local heritage.

The refurbishment includes new décor, tables, chairs and booth seating, together with a new Victoria Heritage Suite for afternoon teas, special occasions, group bookings and community gatherings. Historic photographs highlight the centre’s connections with Featherstone and Pontefract.

A new heritage wall traces the Notcutts story back to 1897. Similar displays are planned for the company’s other 18 garden centres ahead of its 130th anniversary next year.

The restaurant was officially opened by Caroline Notcutt, vice chairman and great-granddaughter of founder Roger Crompton Notcutt, alongside CEO Nick Burrows and Victoria general manager Damien Wood.

Around 50 customers, colleagues, community leaders and charity partners attended a celebratory breakfast and ribbon-cutting.

The reopening also coincides with the launch of an autumn menu featuring Pie of the Day, sausages and mash, hot desserts and Notcutts’ signature scones.
