Kit sponsors support Greenfingers Kilimanjaro Charity Trek

Greenfingers Charity has received a boost ahead of its upcoming fundraising challenge, with kit sponsors stepping in to support participants preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
UK outdoor clothing and equipment retailer Mountain Warehouse is providing support alongside key industry partners helping equip trekkers for the demanding expedition.
The challenge will see 24 supporters take on the climb to raise vital funds for Greenfingers’ therapeutic garden projects at children’s hospices.
Industry backing for the initiative also includes the Horticultural Trades Association, British Garden Centres, SBM Life Science and Garden Centre Retail.
Funds raised from the trek will go towards creating a new Greenfingers garden at Naomi House & Jack’s Place, a children’s hospice in Winchester.
The garden will offer a therapeutic outdoor space where children with life-limiting conditions and their families can spend time together away from clinical surroundings.
These specially designed gardens allow children to experience the outdoors through colour, scent and texture in a safe and supportive environment.
Greenfingers said the challenge highlights the ongoing support it receives from businesses, fundraisers and volunteers across the horticulture and garden retail sectors.
Funds raised through the Kilimanjaro trek will help bring the new hospice garden to life, creating a place where families can share meaningful moments and lasting memories.
