June events raise vital funds for Perennial

Company: Perennial

In June, Perennial raised nearly £10,000 through two inaugural events: a five-a-side football tournament and a charity golf day.

The "Kick for a Cause" football tournament at Fulham FC Training Ground saw eight teams compete in sweltering heat.

The grounds maintenance teams from Fulham and Reading FCs were joined by teams from supporting event partners Wildwood Machinery and ICL, along with Perennial Partner teams from Kingston Landscape Group, Wood Environmental Services, Neville Stein Horticultural Business Consultancy and Grange Travel Coach Hire, each entering teams of up to 12 players.

KLG FC emerged victorious with a 1-0 win.  The event raised additional funds through raffle ticket sales.

The charity golf day at Pyrford Lakes, in partnership with Renson, featured 60 golfers and raised over £3,500. Renson UK won the team competition, and Tina Mott won the individual Stableford. Both events provided networking opportunities and vital funds for Perennial, which supports horticulturalists and their families.

Perennial's Chief Executive, Jamie Gault, emphasized the importance of such events in raising the charity's profile and supporting its mission to build better futures for those in the horticultural industry.
