GCA crowns Midlands, Wales & West regional garden centre winners

The Garden Centre Association (GCA) has announced the winners of its 2026 Midlands, Wales & West regional summer awards at Gates Garden Centre in Hinckley.

Planters Garden Centre, Tamworth was named Destination Garden Centre of the Year, Old Railway Line Garden Centre won the Garden Centre category, and Poundbury Gardens took the Local Garden Centre title.

GCA Chief Executive Peter Burks praised the high standards across the region and thanked Gates Garden Centre for hosting the awards, as well as members who travelled to attend.

 

Inspector Alyson Haywood assessed member centres during a 12-week programme of unannounced visits across the region.

She highlighted excellent customer service, strong plant quality and attractive merchandising, while encouraging centres to build on their successes and continue raising standards.
