Decco owner in £46m deal with TP

Newbury Investments (UK), owner of trade distributor Decco, has bought Primaflow F&P from Travis Perkins for £46m.

Primaflow F&P is a national wholesale distributor of branded plumbing and heating systems and has been part of the Travis Perkins group since 2010. TP chief executive Nick Roberts said: "The divestment of our wholesale plumbing and heating business is a further step in reducing the group's overall complexity.”

Decco supplies branded DIY, garden and housewares products to independent high street retailers and garden centres throughout Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Newbury Investments is a holding company with around 50 subsidiaries in the distribution of electrical, DIY garden and security products. Decco and Norbain and Stearn Electric are some of the bigger companies it owns. Combined turnover is around £600m.
