Full Time & Part Time – including weekend working
We are currently seeking a full time Garden Centre Assistants to join our team.
The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a hands-on role demanding considerable manual handling (unloading deliveries, loading compost etc into vehicles, sweeping, etc). A good knowledge of plants is preferred for the role as is good customer service and a high standard of visual merchandising.
You will be passionate about gardening, enjoy working outside in all weathers and be fully flexible with weekend working to suit our shift requirements.
The successful candidate(s) must have some gardening & plant knowledge and experience within horticulture, ideally in Garden Centre Planteria work.
Good references, commitment and reliability are required in any instance.
Main Duties:
• Plant maintenance and care; labelling, watering, weeding, pruning, top dressing etc
• Cash Till operation and other point of sale procedures including ‘cashing up’
• Helping customers with their purchases and loading goods into customers vehicles etc
• Goods inward, pricing, displaying & merchandising of a variety of products
• Quality customer service including giving advice
• General daily housekeeping and any reasonable other task as required by the business
