QD Group buys The Barn in Peterborough
QD Commercial Group Holdings has acquired The Barn Garden & Aquatic Centre in Peterborough. The site will be renamed The Barn by Cherry Lane Garden Centres.
The Norwich based QD Group operates 24 QD Stores, 7 Thing-Me-Bobs and 11 Cherry Lane garden centres including the new purchase.
The group told Peterborough Today that they would be making improvements to the sales areas, expand gardening and seasonal ranges and the create new departments for clothing and Scallywags Pets.
The site’s Coffee Barn will gain a 120 seat restaurant.
The Barn also retains a garden centre at Oundle.
