B&Q to remain open during Welsh firebreak

B&M, B&Q, Home Bargains, et al have said they will remain open in Wales as garden centres are forced to close after Friday.

The Welsh Government's firebreak lockdown starts at 6pm on Friday.  That means all "non-essential" retail will have to close for 17 days.

B&M, B&Q, Home Bargains, Poundland and Wilko have said they will remain open claiming they are retailers of essential items.

The HTA has lobbied the Welsh government on the industry’s behalf and is continuing to do so to seek clarity on issues around garden centres operating click and collect, farm shops/food halls.
