Italian floriculture and nursery production reached a record €3.52 billion in 2025, up 8.1% year-on-year, according to data published by Myplant & Garden ahead of its February 2027 exhibition. The sector has grown by more than 30% since 2015, with floriculture worth €1.64 billion and nursery production €1.88 billion. 

Key points:

• Total Italian floriculture and nursery production exceeded €3.5 billion, the highest level on record. 
• Tuscany surpassed €1 billion in nursery production and remains Italy's leading production region. 
• Liguria remains Italy's dominant floriculture region, producing almost €500 million worth of flowers and potted plants, around 30% of national output. 
• Floriculture grew 8.2% to €1.64 billion, while nursery production rose 8.1% to €1.88 billion. 
• Central Italy accounts for almost 39% of national production value, while the North contributes nearly 38%, with the North-East showing the strongest growth. 
• Organisers said the figures demonstrate the sector's strength, although rising costs continue to affect business performance.
