Fallen Fruits won the award in the Outdoor Leisure and Entertaining category at the GIMA event at Celtic Manor, Newport on Thursday 12th July.
The GIMA Awards, which celebrate the best in the garden industry, was hosted by TV, film and stage actor Stephen Mangan.
Fallen Fruits won the award with their Green Picnic range. Launched earlier this year, the 100% biodegradable picnic range contains natural Areca palm leaf plates, which are a sustainable and eco friendly resource. The veins of each leaf ensure that each plate has its own unique character. The range also has disposable cups and paper straws. The paper straws, which are an excellent substitute for plastic straws, which can end up polluting the environment, are again completely biodegradable. To complete the range, there are wooden knives, forks and spoons, paper napkins, placemats and a matching tablecloth, for the perfect “green” picnic!
Fallen Fruits also won the Giftware Association Gift of the Year Award, at Spring Fair 2018, for the same, very sucessful product range in the Garden and Outdoor category.
