Steve Guy hopes to remain within the garden industry

Steve Guy, left Dobbies in the middle of June.

He had been head of buying for horticulture and garden at the garden centre chain.  It seemed almost inevitable that he would leave after Nicholas Marshall became CEO and brought in his own management team.

Steve says he is actively looking for his next role, which he hopes will continue to be within the garden industry.

Steve worked at Dobbies for more than 4 years, mostly during the period when the group was owned by Tesco.

Steve's career started with Farplants and Bridgemere Nurseries.  He then moved to B&Q where he rose to become category trading manager for horticulture and garden power during 13 years with the group.
