LeisureGrow is a family owned, market leader in the Garden Furniture, Barbeque, Garden Lighting, Christmas Lighting and Growing Media sectors, serving traditional garden centres, department stores, multiples and mail order retailers.
We are committed to working with our retail partners to enhance our LG Outdoor, Grillstream, NOMA Garden Art, NOMA Christmas and Erin brands and to develop our business through marketing, effective merchandising and product displays in store as well as customer events and demonstrations. To deliver our brand development programme, LeisureGrow is recruiting this exciting field based role, to work with our retail partners across the whole of the UK & Ireland.
The Role of Merchandiser:
Reporting to the National Sales Manager and working as part of the UK’s sales team, this role involves visiting our retail partners to:
- Install and update shop fittings, product displays and Point of Sale material.
- Provide advice on prime positioning of our various Point of Sale and product displays.
- Improving merchandising and the visual impact of displays.
- Assist with the training of our partner’s staff in the demonstration and effective sale of products.
- Demonstrate the features and benefits of products to both our own retail partners and consumers
- Identify new sales opportunities and build strong trade relationships with both existing and new customers.
- Assist in the setting up of sample product at various showrooms and Trade Show events
This position is ideally suited for someone who is looking for their first step into a field sales environment and a Merchandiser who demonstrated success and capability at this level would enjoy an excellent future career path into sales, training or marketing. The job holder will need to travel throughout the UK and Ireland and this will require several nights away from home each month, as well as attending retailer events which could include some evening and weekend work.
A basic salary of £22,500 plus discretionary bonus, company van, mobile phone, laptop, 23 days holiday, and company pension scheme.
Ideally living within one hours drive of the company’s Hertfordshire head office, you will be active and energetic with enthusiasm for practical hands on and outdoor activities, happy to work on your own as well as part of a team. You will be completely reliable and willing to travel extensively with nights away.
You will be dynamic and have previous experience of working in a retail, events or marketing environment where you have gained knowledge of shop layouts, product promotion and the setting up of displays.
You will have a passion for customer service and strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to problem solve.
