An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our family-owned company, one of the largest garden centres in the UK where we strive for excellence.

You will be responsible for the plant department at our Horningsea site which has an extensive and well stocked plant area.

You will have a good understanding & knowledge of plants as well as experience of working in a retail plant department. Horticultural qualifications are not necessarily essential however your experience in this field should compensate for this. A passion for customer service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will be flexible, proactive and highly motivated, commercially aware and have the ability to create dynamic displays. The role includes the procurement of stock across a number of categories. Much of this is sourced locally where ever possible as well as nationally & from abroad. This part aspect of the job may require some associated travel abroad. You will work together with our 3 other branch plant area managers to plan seasonal ranges.

This is a full-time role and will include alternative weekends (including Duty Manager rota support.)
The right candidate will be offered management training opportunities as part of your CPD our (ACL) action centred leadership training has been running for over 5 years now and has been instrumental in developing our management team.
