A fantastic opportunity to become a key senior management team member of our group of garden centres, fulfilling the role of Garden Centre Manager at our Plantsplus branch, near Ponteland - Newcastle.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high level of motivation
  • Strong attention to detail and very high standards of presentation
  • The ability to motivate and challenge the Garden Centre & Nursery teams
  • The best standards of customer service, along with the ability to communicate them to the team
  • The ability to work alongside other Garden Centre Managers within the group to share best practice and knowledge

The Basics

  • A minimum of 3 years experience at Garden Centre or Garden Centre Assistant Manager level
  • Knowledge of stock control using an EPOS system
  • Positive and strong communication skills for both customers and in-house team members
  • Adept at succession planning and performance management
  • Able to implement the ongoing training and development of the team
  • Seasonal planning, annual planning and budgeting experience
  • A hands-on approach to leading and developing an enthusiastic team
  • Knowledge of driving sales by identifying trends and opportunities in the market
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards across the centre
