Applications are now being invited for the first flower show to be held in the grounds of Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire. The Belvoir Flower & Garden Festival will take place on 14 and 15 July 2018 and will offer all those with a love of gardens and gardening in the East Midlands and East Anglia a floral destination for garden inspiration and shopping. Perennial, the UK’s only charity dedicated to looking after all those who work in horticulture, is the show’s beneficiary charity in 2018.
Applications are being invited for three types of exhibit:
1. Show Gardens – to be staged outside. Plot sizes vary – all design ideas welcomed.
2. Floral /Nursery Exhibits – to be staged in Belvoir Castle’s grand Lakeside Pavillion.
3. Trade Stands – garden related products to be staged outside.
Event organiser Andy Tudbury says:
“We look forward to welcoming exhibitors from across the UK to our new garden festival here in Leicestershire but are hoping this beautiful setting will be particularly attractive to nurseries, designers and garden trade businesses from East Anglia and the East Midlands. There is a dearth of garden events in this part of the world but we hope to change this with the Belvoir Flower & Garden Festival and give all those with a love of gardening in this wonderful corner of the UK something to look forward to this summer.”
Local artists have been booked to keep visitors entertained in the Music Zone and a range of food and refreshments will be offered in the Nourish Zone.
Laura Garnett, Senior Development Manager at Perennial, says:
“We are delighted to be involved with this new event and look forward to supporting Andy and the team over the coming months. As the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping all those who work in horticulture, Perennial welcomes this opportunity to get to know designers, landscapers, nursery owners and other horticulturists in East Anglia and the East Midlands.”
Tickets will go on sale to the public in January. All exhibitor enquiries should be made to Andy Tudbury by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by phone 0115 968 0046 or 07713 029898.
