With Government ending mandatory distancing measures and mask wearing in stores on 19th July, Freedom Day, we do a straw poll of garden centres on masks and restaurants.

Our Franchi Seeds Store is open Saturdays only for personal callers to come and buy seeds (and other Italian goodies) at our warehouse store in Harrow. We will follow Waterstones and London underground and continue to insist masks are worn. We are in the midst of a third wave which was allowed in over a desperate Indian brexit deal, and now the same government wants to fully unlock with 42,000 covid cases yesterday. For us it is a no brainer. No mask, no entry, safer environment for both staff and customers alike. I appreciate our footfall will be less being open one day per week to the public but even there, due to this third wave, we will not open our doors to personal callers Mon to Sat as we did before. Saturdays only until it is safe to do so.
