Rare opportunity for a Managing Director to lead a management buy-out team at Barters Farm Nurseries Ltd., Wiltshire.
The ownership of a successful nursery and retail centre with sales approaching £1M is being offered to an MD who can build a strong business and maximise its potential. The successful candidate will be given a significant shareholding in a business with a 36-year trading history, on-site propagation, strong links to trade customers and a successful retail Plant Showroom. The business has a dedicated team that covers all the specialist skills necessary - from propagation through to service delivery.
In addition to their salary the candidate will have the opportunity to build substantial value for themselves by trading the business profitably. The existing owners want to exit day-to-day operations by March 2022. They will become minority shareholders, with the majority of ownership in the hands of management.
The successful candidate will have entrepreneurial and financial acumen, be able to see the potential for the company and have the required leadership qualities. You’ll have appropriate experience and a desire to be not just an MD but an owner, together with the established management team, of a substantial combined nursery and retail business that is set to grow. Terms will be based on a buy-out over a number of years for the right person.
