Maggie Bingham (1950 – 2022)
Margaret Bingham has died, aged 71, on 4th September after a short illness.
Maggie, as she was known, founded Kingfisher Nursery at Gedney Hill in Lincolnshire together with her husband Pete in 1975. She also ran their Thorpe Hall Plant Centre in Peterborough for several years.
Kingfisher Nursery became well known as one of the leading UK heather growers until it closed when they retired in 2017 to spend more time with their family. Maggie had many friends in the horticulture world and enjoyed seeking and sharing with IPPS members.
The funeral will take place at Surfleet Crematorium on 30th September at 1pm.
