Guy Topping represents England at World Curling Championships

Guy Topping, of Barton Grange Garden Centre, and his team are pitted against Belgium, England, Estonia, Latvia, Switzerland and United States in the early rounds of the competition.

The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre’s Facebook page carries this message today:

“Can we all wish “Team Topping” the best of luck. They are ECA Senior Men’s champions flying out to Sweden on Thursday competing in the World Senior Curling Championship.”

The World Senior Curling Championships began in 2002 and is an annual curling tournament featuring curlers from around the world who are at least 50 years old. The current World Champions are Canada. Guy and his team are pitted against Belgium, England, Estonia, Latvia, Switzerland and United States in the early rounds of the competition.

The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre is on the same site as Barton Grange Garden Centre and managed by Emily Topping. Its described as “…Lancashire’s most exciting and unique leisure venue” and has the North of England’s only dedicated curling hall.
